It applies to all: Employees, Customers (taproom, private events, on-line, social media), Accounts, Vendors, Partners, Collaborators, and Contractors.

We promote freedom of expression and open communication. But we expect all employees to follow our code of conduct. They should avoid offending, participating in serious disputes and disrupting our workplace. We also expect them to foster a well-organized, respectful and collaborative environment.

Expected Behaviors

We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or religion. FBW employees will treat each other and guests with respect, listen with an open mind, and make our taproom a welcoming, safe,  and comfortable space.

All employees are expected to be in compliance with the law, and conduct themselves in a way that best represents the values of FBW.

Disciplinary Actions

FBW may have to take disciplinary action against employees who repeatedly or intentionally fail to follow our code of conduct. If you are approached as having (consciously or otherwise) acted in a way that might make your teammates feel unwelcome, listen with an open mind and avoid becoming defensive. Remember that if someone offers you feedback, it likely took a great deal of courage for them to do so. The best way to respect that courage is to acknowledge your mistake, apologize, and move on — with a renewed commitment to do better.

That said, repeated or severe violations of this code can and will be addressed by our leadership, and can lead to disciplinary actions including:

  • Demotion.

  • Reprimand.

  • Suspension or termination for more serious offenses.

  • Detraction of benefits for a definite or indefinite time.

We may take legal action in cases of corruption, theft, embezzlement or other unlawful behavior.

FBW is working hard to become a physical and mental safe space and any violation of our Code of Conduct can result in disciplinary action and/ or termination of employment or working relationship. Anyone observing or party to an incident that violates the Code of Conduct shall report it to keepfattysgreat@gmail.com. We are a community and a transgression against one is a transgression against all. We are committed to increasing diversity at FBW and the Craft Brewing Industry.
